I would never read this series any other way. But, of course, I must also talk about our murderer. Even though I saw that some other men were also interested in her. I’m really excited to read the sequels but it’s gonna have to wait until after Restore Me lol This was such a unique book for me, as even the plot-light chapters had me dviiners.

The cast of characters was pretty good, all flawed and interesting backgrounds, and the overall murder plot was gripping and had twists and turns enough to keep me interested.
The dust on them is just monumental, since I honestly read most of my stuff on my Kindle, sigh. I hear we get a lot more of him in the next book though, so I am anxious to read it.

Furthermore, knowing that most characters had powers but they were all too scared to tell each other also got pretty old. Every character was vivid and different, and I also really liked the sub-plots within their lives.
He is a very talented liar, thief and all-around smooth talker. Obviously this will not be an issue for a lot of readers, but I thought that element of the story went way too far. The Puritans knew of cunning folk. Look at all this stuff—who knew there were so many superstitious charms?
