LPR is very complex and I thank God for directing me to help. The crux of the book is that our American diet relies too heavily on processed foods.
Oct 07, Des rated it it was amazing. Droppkng would have like more instruction on how to create those balances on your own. I suspected asthma, but instead I was diagnosed with vocal cord dysfunction. The book does give a list of foods and their pHs, though, to help you when you shop. I wish they had gone into that a little more. I have tried several so far and enjoyed each. Personally, I look at some of the pictures and This is a beautiful hard cover book that was first mentioned to me by a patient.
I love spicy foods, so this approach does mean making sacrifices in some of my favorite foods. This is great, because it’s koufkan combo cookbook and science book. Some of the recipes seem to be high in sugar and simple carbs. Hardcoverpages. The two of the authors are Jjamie and they talk about how medical science is not looking at the issue of reflux in a holistic way – that it is not just a GI issues or an ENT issue.

I liked the science part in the back to a certain extent. It also explains how and why the reflux epidemic is related to the dopping of acid as a food preservative. There are some random brand names.
A useful reference for me as I’m diving into some heavy diet and lifestyle changes. It also give a lot of kamie recipes and foods that are okay to eat.

Ddopping they list the Ph levels of some foods, it is in no way a complete wcid for example, they list the Ph of green grapes but not red. I don’t have the energy to cook for every meal I eat, especially on a diet that requires eating smaller, more frequent meals, to treat a condition that often includes nausea.
My journey with LPR started three years ago jajie I started having difficulty breathing; I was coughing, wheezing, and generally felt like I couldn’t catch my breath. Recipes that are too involved aren’t going to help that.
If you suffer with GERD or “silent reflux” then this book may really help you to learn about and control your condition. ETA update March Air your grievances with them; the reader doesn’t find it helpful. I don’t know how working people would adapt this diet to their lifestyles.

aci They propose that the Ph levels in foods, especially in our ever-processed food supply, is causing an epidemic of silent reflux. I think the science seems sound, it certainly explains why I’ve been sick for years with no one able to properly diagnose me, and why I’m feeling better now that I’m eating more in line with what this book proposes.

Koufman has been listed among the Top Doctors in America every year since No more middle of the night or morning coughing fits. In addition, many foods listed as ok cause me an issue. Even doing it halfway will make you lose weight quickly – that was an undesired effect for me, but if that’s something you would want, then it’s more incentive to give kouufman a go.
One of the best things about this book is how it emphasizes what you CAN eat, not just what you can’t.
