Jul 17, Loren rated it liked it. I found it got a bit boring after a while. Reviewed by Eamonsmum 5 April I was someone who didn’t see the ‘magic’ in pregnancy. I love that this book is thr in a distinctly Australian voice. I have some friends who couldn’t get in the right headspace to be able to enjoy this book.

Light on information, but good to balance out heavier books like “what to expect, when you’re expecting” which can make you into a little well huge hypochondriac. Share your thoughts with other customers. Feb 23, Brad Gosling rated it really liked it.

And Up the Duff is funny. It was funny, infomormative and told me everything I needed to know on a weekly basis. Reviewed by kbaker 4 April I loved the week by week information and how she included her personal experiences as well as informative help. So many people love this book.

A humourous and generally light-hearted take on the everything pregnancy. This book was was invaluable to me! Duvf, I had a month of shitty sleep – or lack of – for stressing over how I was supposed to sleep, especially as the left side wasn’t comfortable and the baby didn’t seem to like it either.

Still, the info on how the foetus is developing is reliable and I found that fascinating, since you can’t see through your own skin, fat and muscle to what’s going on inside, you can’t feel anything except when the baby moves, and you have no control over what it’s getting up to in there anyway. This book is written in an easy to read style and the humour is just what I needed!

Loved it and plan on using it again on next bubs. Now thanks to modern technology there is an ‘Up The Duff App’ for smart phones and the application gives you the opportunity to add your own information to keep a record of what might be the most important nine months of your life!

I found it very easy to read, straight forward, and rather funny I purchased this book when I first fell pregnant, I found it to be coooke witty vooke humour whilst still dyff in formative on a week to week basis. It has lots of factual information about the babies growth, what to thd etc but the great part is the funny parts about what is happening to the lady in the story.

It’s not meant to be cooek only source of information. WIth my first pregnancy I read a LOT I literally absorbed books, most of them freaked me out, there were devestating stories about pregnancies and babies gone wrong, as well as all the things that can go wrong with you. Had a few good little helpful activities in it to help prepare for bubs arrival.

Best of all it’s realistic and non-judgmental. I liked that it told you what was happening from week to week. No trivia or quizzes yet. Found this book fun to read as it gives duf more light hearted take on pregnancy and all the things that go along with it.

Would recommend if you don’t have any close friends who have had children. I think if you buy this and one other more serious pregnancy book you’ll be covered – this is a good one to read when you are just feeling “over it” for whatever reason but the content is still cooks so it’s not just u; of Kaz’s opinions.

As a first time parent, I wanted to know everything I could about what would happen to my body and baby in pregnancy, but it was too basic for my style. Why every pregnant woman deserves one.
